It applies to <strong data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"1043\">all flights to, from or within Canada<\/strong>. <\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1194\"><p data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1194\">The <strong data-start=\"1050\" data-end=\"1083\">Montreal Convention (1999),<\/strong> an international treaty applicable to <strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1147\">international flights<\/strong>, ratified by more than 130 countries, including Canada.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b29d8c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6b29d8c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. Flight delay<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c757926 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c757926\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"1223\" data-end=\"1469\">If your flight arrives at its destination <strong data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1295\">with a delay of 3 hours or more<\/strong>, and the delay is <strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1357\">due to the airline<\/strong> (and not exceptional circumstances such as weather), you may be eligible for <strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1468\">compensation<\/strong>.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1471\" data-end=\"1510\">Compensation under the APPR:<\/h4><ul data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1607\"><li data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1547\"><p data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1547\">3 to 6 hours late: <strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1547\">$400<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1574\"><p data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1574\">6 to 9 hours: <strong data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1574\">$700<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1575\" data-end=\"1607\"><p data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1607\">More than 9 hours: <strong data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1607\">$1,000<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1754\">Passengers are also entitled to <strong data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1673\">assistance measures<\/strong> : meals, refreshments, access to communication, accommodation if necessary.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2f3621 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d2f3621\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3. Cancelled flight<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4fdf8d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f4fdf8d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"1841\">In the event of a flight cancellation, the company must offer you:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1972\"><li data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1901\"><p data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"1901\">A <strong data-start=\"1848\" data-end=\"1872\">new booking<\/strong> at no extra cost;<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1902\" data-end=\"1972\"><p data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"1972\">Or a <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1936\">full refund<\/strong>, if you decide not to travel.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2185\">If the cancellation is <strong data-start=\"1994\" data-end=\"2024\">attributable to the company<\/strong> and you are informed less <strong data-start=\"2053\" data-end=\"2090\">than 14 days before departure<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2123\">financial compensation<\/strong> is also due, according to the same scale as for delays.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ddcaebe elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ddcaebe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">4.
